TELL THE TRUTH IN BUSINESS
AND HOLD ALL TRADE YOU GET
Dc Loyal To Your Employer. Your employer's pood business policies
are necessary for his success. You should help him attain success by
upholding these business policies, Tho Rood name of his business and
the peronal character of your employer are both sacred to him". There
fore, support that Rood name nnd that reputation and loyally resist every
attempt on the part of others to stain them. The goodwill of the public
In behalf of your employer is based on his good reputation. This good
will ns a working capital cams for you your weekly pay nnd for your
employer his deserved profit. If you shirk your work, you cheat your
employer. Set tbe example by being trustworthy. When you are loyal,
you do not have to be watched by your superior. The less supervision you
require, the greater will be your salary.
He Loyal To Your Employer's Patrons. You servo your employer
best by being true to his patrons. These customers dcnl with your
"house" because the goods arc good, the prices arc right and the service
is satisfactory. They trust you, too, because you treat them "on the
square." Continue to be sincere nnd true and you will continue to get
their trade. Do not try to secure their pntronnge through unworthy
schemes and inventions. Always work for your customers' interests ami
they will continue to bo your good business friends. Tell the truth in
business and thereby hold all the trade you get. A thing is well sold when
it is maikcted on the truth basis. The buyer must be plenscd with the
purchases just ns tho seller is pleased with the sale. Fair exchange is
the outcome of safe salesmanship.
He Loyal To The Position You Fill. Be sure that you are qualified for
your work. If you find that you are deficient, make yourself more capable,
or else quit. Partial success will not hold your position for you. Only
by the use of your fullest capacity will you avoid being pushed down to
a lower level. You will go up the ladder only by doing your very best
with the Work in hand. The position you now fill is but the open door
to your tomorrow's opportunity. Develop your better qualities in order
to be better fitted for n better position. Your lovnlty is tested by what
you think nnd what you do. Be true, then trust.
