ly active, with the tone about steady.
Initial prices were 2 to T points lower,
with the exception of October which
showed an advance of one point. This
was iluo partly to scuttereil fcelllnt' train
commission houses ami the South. Wall
Street Interests were good buyers and
ulvmool also purchased here.
After the call the market had a listless
appearance. Prices were unchanged from
the opening levels. Uvcrpool came M to X
point up, being disappointing for the
first time In many das. It had been ex
pected that the English market would
show 5 to 6 points advance.
