bride when a Httlo girl, wns tho oniclatlng
clergyman. Tho bride woro a smart
green tailored traveling suit nnd a smnll
green velvet turban trimmed with a par
adise. Following a wedding luncheon. Includ
ing only Dr. and Mrs. Loux and Mr. Cor
mnn's secretary. Mr. V. V. Coffrnln, Mr.
and Mrs. Gorman left for Decntur. Ill,
Mr. Corman's homo town, to spend me
holidays. They expect to travel for
six months or more before deciding upon
a plare of residence.
The wedding wns the rulmlnntlon of
a romance which began when Mr. Cor
man Ilrst came to this city. Ho met
his bride, who wbb then a Miss Down
ham. Later sho was married to Morton
Smith West, of Trenton, N. J., who
died 18 months later. Tho former
friendship was Inter renewed and tho en
gagement of Mr. Corman and Mrs.
West resulted.
It was planned to hold the wedding
earlier this year, but Mr. Corman re
cently underwent nn operation In Jef
ferson Hospital. On account of this
Illness, Mr. Corman resigned his posi
tion with N. W. Ayer & Son. He has
no business plans for the future.
Mr. Corman Is an enthusiastic golfer
and motorist nnd a member of the fol
lowing clubs: Manufacturers', Down
town, Poor Richard, Automobile Club of

WITH RECEPTION AT HOME

Christmas Frolic Other Affairs
A RECEPTION was given on Saturday
evening by Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Penn,
of 832 North 8th street. In honor of the
betrothal of their daughter. Miss Rose
Penn, to Mr. Albert Alperovitz, of South
Philadelphia. Tho reception was attended
by a number of out-of-town guests. Tho
houso was beautifully decorated with
flowers and ferns, nnd Miss Rose Snyder,
a cousin of Miss Penn, rendered several
opera selections. A donation of $25 was
made for tho benefit of the wnr sufferers.
