Peath Claims Woman Who Cut Throat
Mrs. Sarah Ingram, 71 years old, em
ployed as a child's nurse by I'arvls C.
DanMs, of 1310 North 12th street, who
nttempted suicide on Saturday by cutting
her throat with a razor, died at the St.
Joseph's Hospital today of pneumonia.

CHARLES I, CRAGIN
His Activities Made Palm Beach a
Leading Resort
Charles I. Cragin, whose elaborate en
tertainments at Palm Beach made that
place one of the leading winter resorts
of Ametlca, died yesterday at the St.
James Hotel, where ho had been ill for
a week with pneumonia.
Ten medical specialists of national repu
tation had been at his bedsldo a few
hours before his death, but failed to re
store ilr. Cragin to consciousness. He
Is survived by a widow, who was also
at the deathbed.
Air. wrag.n was president ot me uoo- i
bins Soan Comnanv. which he organized
a half century ago. Ho was also a di
rector ot the Fourth Street National
Bank, but had devoted little time to
either enterpiise In the last 20 years. He
spent much of his time at his winter
home, Beye Dete, Palm Beach. This Is
one of the handsomest estates at the
resort. It Is so large that Mr. Cragin
permitted the United States Government
to conduct experiments In fruit growing
on the grounds.
Mr. Cragin was a native of Boston. He
came to this city 5." years ago as the
local representative of Jordan, .Marsh
& Co, He was a member of one of the
most prominent families of New England.
When Mr, Cragin built Jteve Dete Palm
Beach was virtually unknown to Amer
ican society. His sumptuous dinners and
other social functions brought men and
women from all parts of the country to
tho resort, so that lie was generally
credited with the growth of the place.
MOTHER BONA VENTURE
Funeral Monday Morning From St.
Joseph's Convent
The Rev, Mother Mary Bonaventure
Stinsoii, superior general of the Sisters
of St. Joseph, will be burled on Monday
morning from Mount St. Joseph's Con
vent, Chestnut Hill- She died suddenly
yesterday in St. John's Orphan Asylum,
43th street and Wyaluslng avenue, from
heart disease.
BUhop John J. McCort was at her bed
side. Mother Bonaventure had been head
of the order for four years, and was
mother superior of the orphanage for 15
years prior to that time.
She had gone to the orphanage from
the convent at Lnestnut Hill to visit (he
boys among whom she had worked so
ardently. Her condition was recognized
as serious on Tuesday night, and the
last rites of the Catholic Church were
administered at her bedside and Mass
said for her by the Bev John I Thomp
son at St Patrick Church. She was
a communicant of that parish as a girl
when she was known as Ella Stlnsou.
Mother Bonaventure was about W years
old.
