him a certain knife to remove dead tis

and pierced the little finger of tho right

He hastily disinfected the wound and
continued tho operation. Shortly there
after ho noticed that the finser had
swollen, nnd finally the swelling spread
to his hand nnd nrm, TJIood poIsonlnR
had set In; the hand wns opened, nnd a
drainage tube Inserted In his nrm. Al
though suffering great pain. Dr. lloo
stuck to his duties nnd sevehtl weeks
nfter the ocldcnt performed a ttirtlcult
operation.
Finally, seeking relief, he consulted Dr.
William 3. Mnjo, of Itochestcr, Minn.,
who saw the Infection had spread to tho
kidneys, and ho ordered nn operation.
It nns performed, lint had little effect.
Four das Inter Dr. Hoe died.
