Do you remember the "talking movies,"
where tho company "spoke" the pictures
every night? Sort of back talk.
People have asked "What effect do the
movies have upon the churches?" Of
course, this applies to States allowing
Sunday performances. We cannot an
swer for tliem. but do know that many
religions and sects are renting the motion-picture
theatre for a place of wor
ship on Sunday. Societies, speakers and
others realizing the power of attraction
the movie theatre lias, are also holding
meetings in them, gaining an audience
that no doubt expects to sec some film
production in addition to hearing a lec
ture. The Spruce la used as a place of wor
ship on Sunday. So Is the Locust. The
woods are said to be God's temple.
Some- managers open the doors and
windows others buy perfume.
