According to the confession of Robert Fay, believed to be the "brains"
of the campaign against shipping from this country to allied ports,
he and Walter Scholz had intended to blow up a large chemical fac
tory a week ago, but decided to wait until the guards were less
igilant. Fay, on the left, and Scholz, on the right, are seen in front
of the automobile in which they were taken by secret service man
ENOUGH EXPLOSIVES TO BLOW UP PHILADELPHIA '
There is enough dynamite and nitroglycerin in these three suitcases to wreck an
entire city, according to experts of the United States Secret Service. This equipment,
which also includes wigs, false mustaches, an atlas, maps, shipping charts and other
paraphernalia incident to a well-planned dynamiting campaign, was found in the
possession of the Geimans accused of a conspiracy against manufactures and shipping
destined to reach the Allies.
A FIFTH ALLEGED CONSPIRATOR
Dr. Herbert Kiensle was arrested upon the information of Robert
Fay and Walter Scholz as an important factor in the recently un
earthed "plot" to destroy allied shipping.

THE FLETCHER STONE
This ancient rock was discovered at Yarmouth, N. S., and bears a Runic inscription that. tells of the landing of the
Norse in North America centuries before Columbus made his appearance. The stone is taken as evidence of the legendary
Norse expedition in 1007.
