What Milady Wears
That fashion favors the use of fur of
all kinds ns trimming on suits, gowns
and hats cannot be gainsaid, the one
exception seeming to bo white, fox, which
has evidently taken Its place among the
dear doparted except for evening wear.
The use of beaver, squirrel or moleskin
on the trotteur Is exceedingly smart, the
short full skirt when bordered with fur
being given a particularly graceful swing.
While shopping recently Miss Eugenia
Kelso Cassatt woro one ot the good
looking sport suits so much In vogue Just
at presont. It was of a rich brown shade
with a collar of beaver, and her hat,
which was one of the plush hats In Purl
tan shape, had as solo trimming a hugn
buckle of beaver fur placed directly at
the front of the high crown.
Mra. Benjamin Chew, who la alwaya
stunning, looks particularly well In a
trotteur of navy blue broadcloth, with
which she wears a tiny toque of navy
blue velvet devoid of trimming. Her
furs are of silver fox. Mra. Gardner
Cassatt la another matron who prefers
navy blue this autumn. With a perfectly
simple tailored suit of blue cloth she.
wears a close-fitting hat of pheasant
feathers and furs of dyed blue fox.
One of the smartest long coats seen
this season Is being worn by Mlsa Char
lotte Harding Brown. It la of covert
cloth, cut on princess lines, with a very
alight nare, ana at me waistline, is a
three-Inch band ot the cloth to simulate
a belt. Worn with a one-piece frock of
navy blue serge and taffeta and a large
flat taffeta, hat to match, the effect la
r very good. Miss Ethel Shields looks well
In a sports suit or snna-coiorea cloth,
with which she wears dyed blue fox
furs and a amall close-fitting turban ot
navy blue volvet and taffeta.
Mrs. Howard Henry, while In town one
warm day laat week, wore a smart little
frock of blue taffeta made with a short
full aklrt and an overaklrt scalloped
around the edge. Her hat was a large
fiat round-crowned affair of white satin.
Her slater, Mra. A. J, Antelo Devereux,
who Joined her, looked girlish In a tall
leur of cinnamon brown, tha flaring coat
held In ut the walat by a belt of fawn
colored auede. Her close-fitting turban
waa of brown tnfttjta trimmed with black
velvet, a smart combination.
