Mrs. A. D. Bnughman, president of the
Nurses' Alumnae Association, of the
Samaritan Hospital, entertained the
committee to arrange for the annual
bazaar on Wcdncsdny night, at her home.
1614 West Tioga street. The bazaar will
be held In tho Nurses' Home, Park ave
nue nnd Ontario street, on December 2,
3 and 4, nnd will be the largest affair
ever undertaken by tho association.
There will bo seven booths. America,
representing neutrality, will occupy the
centre, while on one sldo Will be Eng
land. Franco and Ireland, and on the
other Germany, Austria and Turkey. The
booths In the order named will be In
charge of Miss Anna O'Harn. Miss
Batbors, Miss Violet Wilkinson, Miss Tur
ner, Mrs. Elizabeth Mayer. Mrs. Harvey
Schllchter nnd Miss Jessie Bowe. The
proceeds will bo used to endow a room
In the .hospital for sick nurses. Many
prominent residents of Tioga are inter
ested In the entertainment, ana are
working to make the bazaar a social

of lustrous Ivory-tinted satin, made quite
simply and draped; from tho shoulders
hung an old-fashioned bell-shaped train,
qulto long, and caught nt tho corners
with silver ribbon nnd orange blossoms.
The filmy tullo veil wns clasped to the
head by nn exquisite dlnmond ornament.
A bouquet of orchids nnd lilies of the
valley was carried. Mrs. Hltt was hand
somely gowned In apricot faille, with a
banding of skunk fur on tho skirt and
touches of fur on tho bodice. Her hat
was of apricot crepe, with a crown of
deep maroon velvet, trimmed with skunk
fur and n slnglo deep pink rose. Tho
young matron enrrlcd a mult of skunk
fur. Miss Krcmer's gown was fashioned
the samo way. Tho bridesmaids' frocks
wore of buff-colored faille, tho skirt edged
with plaited lace. Bands of skunk fur
were used on the skirt and on the bodice
as trimming, and at the corsage was a
single rose. Their hats were of buff-colored
crepe, with crowns of maroon velvet,
trimmed with skunk fur, and they, too,
cnrrled small muffs.
