Standing In the midst of the doll world at the alphabetical count? fair and mar- ' ket day, which will be held tomorrow at St. Francis' Country House for Conva lescents, Darby.wlll be a real Daddy Long Legs Doll, presented by none other than Miss Ruth Chatterton. The doll, which i was obtained through the efforth of Miss Marguerite Cgan, one of the most en thusiastic members of the Junior Auxil iary, Is a little French beauty, dressed In a whlto llngerlo frock embroidered In blue, with a blue bow sporting In hor curly locks. And with this doll Miss Chatterton sest a little note to Miss Egan wishing every success to St. Fran els' fete. Not far off from Miss Daddy Long Legs will be discovered tho Goose Olrl Doll, given by Miss Marguerite Clark, of movie fame. The Goose Girl Doll la dressed In white with trimmings of pink, while from her arm tiny toy geese are hung by silken ribbons. These dolls will undoubtedly attract a great deal of at tention at the booth. Among other dolls at this table will be a collection of quaintly pretty wooden dolls, which ap pear to dance and skip about like real children, and still another attraction will bo a huge baby doll to be chinced oft enly to bo won by some delighted little girl. This table will be In charge of Miss Mae R. A. Loftus, assisted by Mlas Mary O. Scheel, Miss Flabla Rockford, Miss Margaret McDonald and others. Near the doll tablo will be the very at tractive pink booth, where Mrs. Joseph F. Gallagher and Mrs. John J. Coyle, as sisted by Miss Margaret Horan, Miss Magee, Miss Gertrude Webb, Miss Lucy Call, Miss Theresa Junker, Miss Rita Junker, Mrs. Paul Casselman, Jr., Miss Katherlne Hlckey, Miss Helen Dcmpsey, Miss Marie Bonner nnd Miss Katherlno Keenan, will aell the most delicious of home-made cakes and candles, all to be boxed In pink boxes marked "St. Francis Country House." Pound boxes of home made cookies, attractively done up In boxes, will be among the "specials" at this table. Mrs. Gallagher, who had charge of the cake table at St. Francis' first country fair at Darby, and whose ex chequer then came out tlrst, expects equally good results this year, as the table la more attractive than ever. Further down the line from the cake and doll booths will bo the patients' booth, where, under the direction of Miss Brooko and Miss Dean, will be found all kinds of useful and fancy articles made by the nimble fingers of St. Francis' con valescent patients, who have entered so enthusiastically Into the work of the country fair. That "necessity Is the mother of Invention" Is truly proved by this booth, where beautifully -embroidered collar and cuff sets, luncheon sets and hand-made lace and other articles have been fashioned out of many little pieces. Not a cent has been outlaid for mate-i rials, and yet the articles rival any to be found at tho department stores. So en thusiastically have the women worked that 90 dusters, feather edged and hem med by hand, were made in a single day Tho Mayer Sulzberger Club held their first meeting at the home of Miss Hstella Schwelger, 2538 Cambridge street, on Sun day night.
