The marriage of Miss Thcodate L.
Bally, daughter of Mr. Frederick L. Bally,
to' Mr. J. Lloyd Coates, son of Mr. nnd
Mrs. William M. Coates, took place today
at noon In the Church ot the Redeemer
at Bryn Mawr. The bride, who was givon
in marriage by her father, was gowned
in lustrous Ivory whlto satin veiled In
tulle and with a court train. Dainty
waxen flowers formed a unique trimming
on the veil. She carried a loose, round
bouquet of lilies of the valley and gar
denias. Miss Edith Houston Bally, the
bride s sister, who was maid or honor,
wore a charming frock of pink taffeta,
which was veiled In blue tulle, and a
large picture hat ot black net trimmed
with blue tulle. She carried an arm bou
quet of pink dqhllas and blue snap
dragons. The bridesmaids were Miss Alberta, W.
Brlnton. Miss Henriotta B. Ely, Miss
Emily W. Slnkler, of Charleston, S. C,
and Mrs. Theodore Mitchell Hastings.
They wore picturesque gowns of pink
talTeta trimmed with blue tullo and hats
of pink net with black velvet croivns.
They carried pink dahlias and blue lark
spur. The little flower girls, Miss Con
way Clark and Miss Eleanor Clark,
daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Lin
coln Clark, wore quaint little lingerie
frocks and carried old-fashioned baskets
filled with rose petals.
A nephew of the bride, Theodore Mitch
ell Hastings, Jr., and the bridegroom's
nephew, Lloyd Morris Coates, acted as
ribbon bearers. The best man was Mr,
Harry C. Potter, Jr., and the ushers In
cluded Mr, Fisher Corlles Bally, Mr. Al
fred M. Collins, Mr, Aubrey Huston, Mr.
Lloyd Penlston Jones, Mr, Malcolm S.
Huey and Mr. Henry H. Derr, of Wllkes
Barre. The chancel of the church was
beautlfuly decorated with palms, autumn
foliage and flowers, the predominating
shade being pink. Following tho cere
mony a reception was held at Cl&verton,
the home of the bride's father, at Ard
more. Mr. and Mrs. Coates after a wedding

that wero bought by one of Mrs. Burko's
friend nt this samo bazaar.

These covers nre formed to represent a
Parisian lady with hoop sltlrt ot blue,
pink or green satin, fashioned In such
a manner that a little door by which to
slip In tho telephone la hid by means of
the soft draperies of tho skirt.
All kinds of the loveliest of French per
fumes and powders have been donntcd
to Mrs. Burke by a leading French house,
and se era! of the English nnd French
talcum powders have never before been
sold In America. But the above Items
can only give a gllmpso of the beauti
ful things to be found at this booth, all
of which articles will be on exhibition
