A two-point rise In Crump Shipbuilding
was a feature of tho midday dealings.
Cambria Steel started out strong, but en
countered liquidation around 69 and fell
back again, whereas United States Steel
fluctuated Irregularly. Lake Superior was
relatively steady. The bondholders' com
mittee has requested deposits of Algonla
Central and Hudson Uny Hallway first
mortgago S per cent bonds of 1910 with
tho Dank of Montreal, either In London
or In Montreal, on or boforo September
30.

Wheat was weakest Corn and oats held
fairly, even when compared with Satur
day's closing prices. Tho weather wm
reported favorublo in the principal grain
growing districts.

before noon. Thero was a slight rally
which did not strengthen traders' hopes.
