THE COMING WEEK
"Birth of a Nation" Coming
The David W. Griffith film. "The
Birth of a Nation," which has cnused
much discussion in New York. Boston and
Atlantic City, will open at the Forrest
Theatre, Soutti Broad street. Saturday
evening, September 4. So much has been
written about this film and Its director
that It Is not necessary to give details
about It. The fact that It Is now ap
proaching the thirtieth week of Its run In
New York, paralleling many stage suc
cesses, and exceeding most of them, Is
comment enough. The nim is divided,
practically, into two parts. The first
deals with the Civil War, and the greatest
scenes are on the battlefield. The second
deals with tha reconstruction period,
nnd Its main features centre about the
activities ot the Klu Klux Clan. After
the opening, performances will be given
at the Forrest twice daily.
