NEW YORK, July 7. Cotton opened
quiet and steady today at a decline of one
to two points. This showing was better
than had been expected in view of the
faorabla weather conditions and lower
cables from Liverpool. Trading was not
active at the start, but later offerings
from outside sources Increased and prices
sold oft to.a net loss of about Ave points.
This has furthtr extended In later deal
ings, the average decline being about 15
points by 3 o'clock.
In the final dealings cotton Increased
Its decline to about It points, but rallied
a little at the cloe, the average being
about II below yesterday's.
