nlcr retired Kopf. Faber tossed out Bush.

Faber walked. Felsch forced Faber,
Malono to Barry. Weaver tripled over
Walsh's head, scoring Felsch. Oldrlng
pulled down Collin's line drive. Weaver
scoring after the catch. Bush threw out

scoring. Felsch out stealing, Lapp to

Sheeny and Maltby, members of the Wol
verine baseball team, from further par.

took from them the Insignia they already
have won and recommended that they be
further disciplined by the faculty of the
engineering department in which they are
Btudents. The two mn were found
guilty, after a careful investigation, of
having played baseball for money and
under assumed names with Independent
teams
It was established that McNamara, an
other member of the varsity baseball
squad, had played outside ball under an
Msuroed name, but had not received
money for his services. He was barred
from participation In university sports

nobody thought would be dono under the

tition. Previously he hnd not been going

which gives htm the formidable total
of 222.
Jerome Travers returned a 73, which,
with his 147 yesterday, makes him 221
and puts him for the time being In the
lead.
Wilfred Reld, late of England, always
a possibility, virtually held his own with
a 75. Tom McNamara, Boston, was
cautious with 74, making him 223, only
a stroke over MacDonald. Walter Hagen,
Rochester, present champion, was again
rather high with 78, which means that
there will be a new title-holder.

Pennsylvania tennis tournament at Hav
erford proved to bo from Merlon, W. II.
Tllden, Jr.. Gormantown, brilliant young
player, being tho only exception.
Tllden opposed Wallace Johnson, one ot
the best-known players In the country,
In the feature match of the day, which
was watched by a large and appreciative
gallery. Tllden's great height gives hltn
a wonderful service, which Is oxtrcmely
hard to return, and his overhead play Is
also very good, while his back-and drive
Is as pretty a shot as Is ever seen on
tho court.
Johnson played a cool, accurato plac
ing game, keeping his opponent contin
ually on the run, while Tllden rnmo to
tho net at every good opportunity. Inter
cepting somo of Johnson's drives for
clear kills. The other semifinal match
also produced brilliant tennis.
Young Joo Armstrong, former Harvard
alar, opposed Craig Blddlo In a close
contest. Armstrong played a very pretty
gamo, and frequently forced the play,
but Blddle was alert and resourceful, his
shots being well aimed and paced so
that neither players gained a distinct
