Society of this city, Germantown, Chestnut Hill and the Slain Line Is tak ing an active interest In the success of Flag Day, to be held on Saturday for the benefit of the Playgrounds Associa tion of Philadelphia, The city and the outlying sections have been divided and they will sell tiny American flags for whatever amount the purchaser desires to give. These girls will be under the super vision of a number of captains and dis trict leaders made up of older women and will be assisted by a number of loy scouts, under the direction of Scout master Isaao N. Sutton. Although Flag Day will be officially' ushered In Friday at noon when Mayor Blankenburg will unfurl a large flag at Logan Square, the canvass proper will not take place until Saturday, Ferries, railroad stations, theatres, Jitney junctions and all other places where a large number of people gather will be thoroughly covered by the girls who will work in three to four hour shifts.
