Robert McCurdy, Sr., doesn't like to bo photographed, but in Kensing
ton he is well known for many other characteristics. One is his
.-unfailing interest in the welfare of Greater Kensington. Another is
for his management of one of the largest department stores in the
Northeast.
PHILADELPHIA'S MONTESSORI SCHOOL IN SESSION
Mrs. Anna Windle Paist, the teacher, in tho background, studied the method in Rome. The
majority of mothers, she believes, were not cut out to train their own children. Madam
Montesson, tho founder of the system, arrived in the United States recently and is now in
San Francisco, wjiero she will expound the principles of her theory of education at the
Exposition.
