HUNTING ENTHUSIASTS
PLAN SPRING RACE MEET
Rose Tree Club Will Hold Series of
Contests Next Saturday
All roads as far as the hunting en
thusiasts nre concerned will lead to
the Rose Tree Fox Hunting Club's an
nual spring race meet on Saturday after
noon. There will be six races at distances
varying from six furlongs to three and
a half mlleg, for horses of every variety
and weight from the heavy work horses
of neighboring farmers to the hunters
nnd thoroughbreds of clubmen and gen
tlemen horso owners. Four of the mIx
races aro flat races and two cross coun
try. Both the cross country races are
classic features of the Rose Tree Club
The first cross country event, tho third
race of the day. Is for tho Hunting Hill
Plate. This raco Is for half-bred hunters
only and has been productive in times
past of some of the most exciting con
tests ever seen on the famous Rose Tree
cross country course. The other cross
country race Is the famous Jllddleton
Plate race, open to any horse owned and
ridden by a member of the Rose Tree
Club.
Jluch sport Is also expected from the
nnnual race for farmers' work horses
This race will be the first on the pro
gram and Is open to 3-year-olds and up
ward owned by farmers In Delaware,
Chester and Montgomery Counties, and
vouched for as bona flda work horses.
They are ridden by farmers or farmers'
eons who have never won a horse race
except those given for farm horses.
Jlany reservations of parking spaces for
coaching and automobile parties have
been already requested by members of
the social set. Considerable delegations
from Washington, Baltimore and New
York society fplk will also be present, al
though not as many parties from the lat
ter city as usual will come, because of
the fact that the spring race meet ot the
Meadowbrook Club, of Long Island, will
take place on the same day.

took place today at noon In old St. Peter s
Church, nt 3d and Pino streets.
The bride, who was given In marriage
by her father, wore a beautiful gown
of soft while satin veiled in tulle ana
lace. The skirt was made In straight
round length nnd tho bodice wan open
nt the neck and had sleeves of tulle. A
court train was attached to the shoulders
nnd she carried a bouquet of while or
chids and lilies of the valley.
Thero were no attendants, but Jlr. Gren

the ceremony, which was performed by

Tho bride of today is the only daughter
