Interest payable May 1 and November 1 on Coupon Bonds in New York, London and Amsterdam, and on

ized as follows:
These bonds are secured by mortgage on the real estate and manufacturing plants, namely,
the "Lehigh" and the "Saucon" plants, of Bethlehem Steel Company, the largest and most
important operating subsidiary of Bethlehem Steel Corporation, subject to $15,499,000 prior lien
bonds outstanding In the hands of the public.
As security for the performance of its guaranty of principal and interest of these bonds,
Bethlehem Steel Corporation has pledged the entire outstanding capital stocks (except Directors'
shares) of the companies owning or controlling the operating properties which constitute Bethlehem
Steel Corporation.
Net earnings after depreciation of Bethlehem Steel Corporation and Its subsidiaries for the year
ended December 31, 1913, were nearly three and one-half times the entire interest charges for the
year, and the average of such net earnings for the five years ended December 31, 1913, was about
two and one-third times the average interest charges during such years.
While final figures are not yet available, the net earnings after depreciation for the year ended
December 31. 1914, were substantially in excess of those for 1913, which had been the best previous
year in the Corporation's history, .
