She was In her 7Sth year. Mrs. Stiles was born In this city, but lived tho greater part of her life In New Jersey, whero her ancestors figured In tho early history of that Stato. She was tho daughter of the lato Abraham S. and Rllzabetli H. Acklcy, her father for half a century being ono of the largest lum ber merchants In Camden. Four daugh ters survive: Misses JIary H, tmd Helen Stiles, Mrs. W. If. Hansell, of Merlon, and Mrs. V. C. Pricho'.t, of Haddonfleld. She took an active part In the movements of the Civic and Cen tury Clubs, and was the first associate woman member of the Fortnightly Club She was also Identified with the Arts nnd Letters Society and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts.
