scliemo delightfully by appearing In a dainty
gown of white lace nnd yellow satin. Sirs. J.
Chalmers Da Costa presided nt the tea table.
She had selected a black gown, which wns re
lieved with white chiffon and lace, Her hnt
was u brilliant cheny velvet, nnd a rose of
the same shade was attached to the bodice of
the gown.
Receiving with Sirs. Biooke were SIlss Kath
orlne Hunter, SIlss Corlnne Freepian and SIlss
litfolse Halsey, nil of whom will be debutantes
next season. Sliss Hunter wore a charming
gown of accordion pleated gieeu taffeta mnde
with a double sklit and a lace and chiffon
decollete bodice.
SIlss Freeman looked extremely girlish in a
frock of white satin, while Sliss Halsey wore
n. smart tailored suit and lint of brown. About
75 other guests were present. The afternoon
was given up to general dancing between the
exhibitions of SIlss Sawjpr. On Wednesday
afternoon and Saturday Sliss Sawjer will again
appear at Brooke House
