night at tho Merlon Cricket Club when Its
members presented "Handy Andy."
Tho play, in three acts, was a charming Irish
country sketch, comprising the lovo complica
tion of Handy Andy, tho stable boy and gen
eral man of work on an Irish squire's estate,
and a mlxup over "Important papers," which
ended In establishing "Andy's" rights to a
dukedom.
Paul A. Vannamln, Jr., who so cleverly Im
personated Handy Andy, gave full credit, as
did the other members of tho cast to the care
ful coaching ot Stephen B. Knowlton, mombor
of tho faculty of the Havcrford School.
