Minneapolis and St I.ouls securities, which have been strong for the last sev eral days on the report that the road would be taken over bj the "Soo I-lne," weakened on the announcement of Pies Ident Pennington, of the "Soo, that no negotiations were under vvav or that tho question of buying or leasing the road had ever been consideied.
