Christmas Eve, and, to Judge from
the hurrying throngs of late shoppers, the shop
early crusade appeared to be merely the dream
of nn Idealist. Busily seeking for Just "that"
right little gift were Mr. and Mrs. Alexander
Van Rensselaer, the latter looking very snug
In a, huge enveloping coat of chinchilla fur,
with a deep rolling collar of seal. With this
the matron wore a small toque of sable,
trimmed with a brown bird of paradise, and
carried a muff of chinchilla.
Mrs. Antonio Tznoga Stewart and her small
daughter were among the shoppers, Mrs,
Stewart wenrlng a good-looking trotteur of bottle-green
broadcloth, with a collar of mink.
Her wlde-brlmmed hat was of green velvet
with a band of mink around the orown. Hor
small daughter was also clad In dark-green and
wore a small ctose-fltttng cap of leopard skin.
Miss Kitty Brlnton was noticed wearing a three-quarter-longth
coat of soalskln over a frock
of cinnamon brown cloth. Her hat was of black

AN INTERESTING wedding will take place
.In Roxborough tonight, when Miss Graco
Lillian Temple, daughter of Mrs. Emily Tem
ple, will bo given in marriage to Charles
Service Taylor. The ceremony will bo per
formed at the home of the bride's mother, 6121
Ridge avenue, by the Rev. Dr. Zachnrlas
Walker, grandfather of the bride, of the First
Methodist Church, Pleasantvllle, N. J.. Miss
Taylor will wear a beautiful gown of white
duchess satin, trimmed with duchess lace. Her
tulle veil will be arranged on a cap of duchess

beautiful hand-embroidery laee with a toueh
of pink In the trimming. Pink roses will
form her bouquet. Clarence Kehn, the bride
groom's brother, will be best man. The ere
