road popularly known as the Willow
Grove turnpike through the methods of
petitions to the Montgomery County
courts, has struck a popular chord with
automoblllsts In Philadelphia and south
eastern Pennsylvania, and with subur
banites who live In tho three Important
townships traversed by tho turnplk"
Stony signers have been obtained for tho
petitions which are being circulated.

verses a territory from aormahtown, at
a point near CJermantown avenue,
through tho townships of Cheltenham,

the Old York road, nt the entrance to
"Willow Ordvo Park, In that suburb. It
Is a highly favored rotadvvay with motor
ists, and tho tolls collected In recent
