week. She had selected a smart gown of
black satin nnd vchet, which enhanced hei
fair coloring. The bodice was held In plate

It was fashioned of velvet and was made Very
wide, over n full skirt of tulle.
Mlsa Margaiet Berwlnd, another debutante, li
wearing an exoulslte frock of white satin and
net. The sklit is made of net, (julte full Over
a foundation of satin which Is edged with
silk fringe. The bodice Is also of ntl, and k
girdle curiously draped completes the costume.
A chaimlngly Prenchy dancing frock li being
worn by Mlsa Margot Scull. It la of role plnlc
net over satin, and Is set off by a wide girdle
of new blue. Tiny blue rosebud clasp shoulder
straps are used as a finish on the skirt
Mrs. Gardner Cassatt Is wearing nn attrac
tive gown of flesh-colored taffeta. It Is made
with tho basque effect and a wide short circu
lar skirt. Miss Susan Ingersoll appeared re
cently In n frock of flesh-colored satin, set off
by deeper pink.
