turned from England, where she spent the sum

Henry Streatfelld. who, until the outbreak of
tho war. was military attache to Dowager
Queen Alexandra. He Is reputed to bo one of
the bravest as well as one of the handsomest

object was to obtain funds to found nn indus
trial school to teach tho various forms of
domestic science and trades; In fact, every
thing that would be of benefit to the children's
future. The affair was a decided success. The
