The first debutante tea of the season will take place this afternoon, at Ileatherfleld, Bryn Mawr, when Miss Ada Lambert Wetherill. daughter of Mrs. George D. Wetherill, will be formally Introduced to society. The largo re ception room and halls of the house are lav ishly decorated witli autumn leaves, and the myriad baskets and bouquets received by the young debutante fill every corner. Mrs. Wetherill. Miss Anna B. Wetherill and Mlsa Ada L. Wetherill will receive the guests In the drawing room. Miss Ada Wetherill will wear a simple white gown of exquisite Im ported lingerie embroidery. Her mother will wear a handsome gown of dark blue chiffon velvet and Miss Anna Wetherill will appear i In old rose taffeta. Among those who will receive with Mra. Michael Morton is a brother of Mrs. Martha Morton Cronhelm, who Is well known as nn American playwright. Stanley Dark, who will play Lord Darling ton, has been the leading man with Margaret Anglln in several productions, notably In "Tho Awakening of Helena Ritchie," "Green Stock ings" and in one or two special New York revivals In which Miss Anglln was the stellar player. Charles Conway, an English entertainer, has arrived In New York and will moke his first appearance before an American audience. Mr. Conway, who has been beforo tho British public for the last 17 years, proposes to make his American debut in a scries of Dickenslan Impersonations. Letters received from England confirm the fact that Robert Lorraine, the actor, has al ready distinguished himself as a member of the English military flying corps. Mr. Lorraine was one of the first Englishmen to go In for aviation, and four or five years ago he made several sensational tllghts.
