SALE OP ROADS.—In accordance with a law passed by the last Legislature, the Su pervisors of Salisbury township aro now engaged in selling out the contracts for re pairing the roads of that township, for the term of throe years, to OM lowest bidder. The opening of now roads, building of bridges, &c., is to be sold in the same way. Salisbury has about two hundred miles of roads, which cost nearly $6,000 per annum to keep them in proper condiAlpn fort, ravel. They are now to be contracted for in see- hone of from one•half to• three fourth of a mile, and will probably be let on an aver age tar about s'2.o per mile. Those who op pose the project urge that the worst portions of the road bring very little more than those portions which are inn better condition, and that, therefore, the bad places in the roads will not and cannot he kept In proper ro• pair.
