On motion of Mr. Donnelly, of Minne sota, the State Department was directed to furnish information in the case of Antonio Pelletier, an American citizen, who was im prisoned and had his property confiscated in Hayti. Various Executive communica tions were received. Mr. Stevens, of Penn sylvania, moved that the impeachment tes timony taken by the Judiciary be referred to the Reconstruction Committee. The reso lution was adopted, after being amended at the suggestion of Mr. Brooks, of New York, so as to call for the additional letter of the President to Gen. Grant.
