“ It bears on Its face the stamp of an honest

“ The plan is a good one, and the inducements

“ We are not partial to so-called Gift Enter

false or fallacious speculations; but when, as
In the present Instance, there appears a sound
basis, and when the character of the parties
engaged, and the description of prizes present
satisfactory inducements to the public, we can
not refuse to wish the Distribution full success.

INTERESTING QUESTION.
What c.lhhh of people will be most susceptible
to attacks from Cholera ?
Evidently those affected with any disease of
the stomach, liver, or any of the organs apper
taining to digestion. This of persons un
doubtedly will be more liable to oontract this
disease than those possessed of strong and
healthy digestive organs.
The question then naturally arises, how
shall we restore and keep those organs in a
healthy and normal condition? We answer,
by attention to diet, avoiding all undne excite •
ment, using moderate exercise, avoiding all
intoxicating drinks, no matter in what form
presented, and by the use, according to direc
tions, of the great strengthening tonic,

BITTERN WILL
CURE ALL DISEASES OF THE SKIN
Diseases of the sklu are numerous and, with
but one or two exceptions, may all bo traced to
impurity of the blood. lu muuy persons tills
impurity is bom lu the system; while others
acquire it through improper treatment of
scores of diseases. Under this head may bo
classed—
Ist, Scrolula, —Tula disease is hereditary and
la transmit ted from generation to generation.
It is caused by a transgression of Lne laws ol
nature, both moral and physical; lu oilier
words, it is caused by vice. Actlm* as a latent
poison, it reduces the vitality of the blood, aud
weakens the depuratlug organs, so that they
fail to discharge or cast out the Impurities t ail
are continually generating In the system. A
persou physically pure acquires guuof htaa, or
some other secret disease; he undergoes a
course of mercury, th- disease is dried up, aud
the patleui prououuced woU. Vain deiuslou.
The complaint Is not cured, its chuuuel is only
diverted, instead of uiuklug its appearuuce
outwardly, it acts ou the Internal organs, and
scrolula. which is bequeathed from lalher to
sou. Is tue result. Many persons who are per
fectly free from all Immorality and vice areal
tilcted with scrofula. They are suffering lor
the sins of their fathers nuu laboring under the
curse Inscribed In the Bo kof Books. “ I will
visit the iniquities of the fathers upon their
children.”
To cure this dreadful complaint it is neces
sary that the blood should b.> thoroughly pun
flea, all the organs of the body brought into a
healthy state of action, aud the system braced
up and strengthened by luvlgorutlug touics. —
Look at the articles used in compounding
Mlshler’s Bitters; see the array of pwnlylug
and invigorating meudlcumeuts. and sa>
whether there Is an article iu the wliole| list of

ural functions, 1L is a stimulant aud a tonic aud
It will cure Scrolula.
2d, Running sores aud Ulcers.—Running
sores aud ulcers Invariably indicate a scrofu
lous taint. They are caused by the efforts ol
nature todlschurge the impurities of ihe blood.
Many persons afflicted with running sores aud
ulcers succeeded in drying them up aud iniuk
they ar- cured when the skin grows ovur the
sore. They are, however, “but making bad
worse,” lor the impurities that were discharged
from the system through the medium ol the
sore now act Internally and cause innumerable
diseases and olteu death. The ouiy true and
sure cure lor all running sores aud ulcers is
Mlshler’s Differs, a continued and persevering
use of which will most certainly effect a per
manent cure.
3d, Balt Rheum.—Balt Rheum Is a vague, in
definite, though, popular term given to al
most all the nou-feurile eruptions oi tue skin
which afflict adults. It is generally an erup
tion of vesicles lu small, distinct ulcers, ar
companieu with usmarLing, tingling sensation,
wltu a tendency to creep orspread over the ad
loining surface. Mlshler’s Bitters are a sure
cure for this disease.
•Uli. Pimples uud Blotches.—Pimples uud
Blotches ou the skin are always a sure slgu ol
impure blood, though never dangerous, ex
cept in o.i> i»i carbuncles, they are very dls
agreeu »te. Often we will see the most hand
