iyj-INHLUU\S BITTERS WILL
CURE ALL DISEASES OF THE SKIN!
Diseases of tbe skin are numerous and, with
but one or two exceptions, may all be traced to
impurity of the blood. In many persons this
impurity is born In the system; while others
acquire it through improper treatment of
secret of diseases. Under this head may be
classed—
Ist, Scroluhi, —Tills disease Is hereditary and
is transmitted from generation to generation,
it is caused by a transgression of the laws of
nature, both moral aud physical; In other
W'ords, It is caused by vice. Acting as a latent
poison, it reduces the vitality of the blood, and
weakens tile depurating organs, so that ihey
fail to discharge or cast out the Impurities toat
aro continually generating In the system. A
person physically pure acquires gouorhcea, or
some other secret disease; he undergoes a
course of mercury, the disease is dried up, aud
the patient pronounced well. Vain delusion.
The complaint is not cured, its channel is only
diverted. Insteud of making Its appearance
outwardly, it acts on the Internal organs, and
Bcroiula. which is bequeathed from father to
son. is the result. Many persons who are per
fectly free from all Immorality and vice are af
flicted with scrofula. They are suffering for
the sins of their fathers unci laboring under Ibe
curso inscribed in the Bo .k of Books. “ I will
visit the iniquities of the fathers upon their
children.”
io cure this dreadful complaint It Is neces
sary that the blood should be thoroughly puri
fied. all the organs of the body brought into a
healthy state of notion, and the system bruced
up and strengthened by Invigorating touics.—
Look at the articles used in compounding
Mlshler’s Bitters; see the nrray of purifying
unci invigorating mondicaments, and say
whether there In an urtlcle in the whole list of
medicines that equals It. Wo here emphatically
assert, without fear of contradiction, that
MiSHLEK’S BITTERS WILL CURE ALL
KINDS OF SCROFULOUS DISEASES.
It purifies the blood, It strengthens the inter
nal organs and ulds them to perform tholr uut
urnl functions, It lsastlmulant andatonlcand
It will cure Scrofula.
2U, Running Sores and Ulcers,—Running
sores and ulcers Invariably Indlcuio a scrofu
lous taint. They aro caused by the oilbrts of
nature lodlschurgo the lmpurlliosof thoblood.
Many persons afilictod with running soros and
ulcers succeeded in drying them up and think
they ar-* cured when tno skin grows ovor tho
sore. They are, however, “but making bad
worse,” lor the impurities that wore discharged
from the system through tho medium of tho
sore now act Internally and cause innumerable
diseases and often death. Tho only true aud
sure cure for ull running sores and ulcers Is
Mlshler’s BlUcrs. a continued aud persevering
use of which will most certainly effect a per
manent cure.
3d, Salt Rheum.—Salt Rheum Is a vague, In
definite, though, popular.term given to al
most all the uon-febrile eruptions of the skin
which aflllet adults. It is generally an erup
tion of vesicles In small, distinct ulcers, ac
companied with a smarting, tingling sensation,
with a tendency to creep orspreadover the ad
joining surface. Mlshler’s Bitters are a sure
cure for this disease.
4th. Pimples and Blotches. —Pimples and
Blotches on the skin uro always a sure sign or
Impure Blood. Although never dangerous, ex
cept In cases of carbuncles, they are very dls
ayreeeble. Often we will see me most hand
some features rendered hideous by great
blotches and pimples, and Instead of the pieas
lng;look which should irradiate thehumanfuce
we see nothing but disgusting corruption ; for
pimples and blotches arenotuiug but the cor
rupt accumulations of the system expelled
through the medium of the skin. The use of
Mlshler’s Bltters’wlil force these corrnptlous to
be discharged through the natural channels,
and thus cures all kinds of plmpleuaud blotches.
Ladles who desire a lair completion, free irom

WONDERFUL CURE OF NEURALGIA!!
Mr. Benjamin Mishler, the proprietor of that

Herb Bitters, has Just received the following
certificate of a most remarkable cure ell'ected by
means of his Celebrated Medicine. E. G. Groff,
who signs the certificate, Is a Justice of the
Peace in the town of New Holland, Lancaster
county, and is too well known to tho people of
that populous section lor houesly, Intelligence
and truthfulness to admit of the least doubt In
regard to the entire accurncy of the statement

fully lestilles. Read the following certificate
and bo convinced. Apply the remedy if you
would be cured :
New Holland, )
Lancaster couuty. Pu., >
April 16th, 1566. J
Mr. Benjamin Mishler —Dear Sir : — I deem it
but due to you that I should give you a state
ment of the cure effected In tue person of my
mother, Mrs. Nancy Groff, by the use of your
Herb Bitters. For a number of years who had
been much afflicted with the most distressing
pal us lu different parts of her right side. Some
times her arm anu shoulder were affected, but
more generally her leg and hip. Bo affected
did these become that she was ut last bed-rid
den for a considerable portion of tho time, aud
wen comparatively free from pain quite un
able to move about the house, except with tho
aid of a crutch or cane. Her life was thus made
u scene of painful distress and existence almost
a burthen. >*he had applied to all the physi
cians within reach, and had diligently used
such medicines as they gave her. but alt to no
purpose. They pronounced her (llseuse to be an
incurable neuralgic affliction. At length how
ever, something like eighteen monlhs since,
she began to use your valuable Herb Bitters.
A t once there was the most reinarlcubio change.
She was speedily relieved to a very groat extent
from tho pain which had been tho constant
torture of her life, and lu tho courso of some
six monlhs was so completely restored to
health as to be able to take a pleasure trip to
the Western states. Blnce her return home,
and at tho present time, slio has tho complete
and free use of her limbs, Is entirely free from
pain, and able to do her housework, to attend
u> her flower garden, uud to discharge all her
domestic duties.
Tilluking that such a remarkable euro should
be made known, In order that tboso similarly
allllcled may apply to tho saino elllcaclous
means for relief, I voluntarily give you this
statement to use as you see fit. Any person
who doubts Its authenticity cau have all scru-
Sles removed by writing to mo at thu New

Youih, Very Respectfully,

Bitters induced me to try them. I must con
fess that I nad an aversion to Patent Medicines
from the “thousand and one” quack “Bit
ters,” whoso only aim seems to be to palm off
sweetened and drugged liquor upou the com
munity in a sly way, and the tendency of
which, I fear, Is to make many a confirmed
drunkard. Upon learning that yours was
really a medicinal preparation I look It with
happy effect. Its action, not only upon the
stomach, but upon the nervous system, was
prompt and gratifying. I feel that I huvo de
rived great and permanent benefit from the
use of a few bottles. „

Although not disposed to favor or recom
mend Patent Medicines In general, through
distrust of their Ingredients and effects, I yet
know of no sufficient reasons why a man muy
not testify to the benefits he believes himself to
have received from any simple preparation, In
the hope that he may thus contribute to the
benefit of others.
I do this the more readily In regard to Hoof
land’s German Bitters, prepared by Ur. C. M.
Jackson, oi this city, because I was prejudiced
against them for mauy years, under the Im
pression that they were chiefly an alcoholic
mixture, I am indebted to my friend Robert
Shoemaker, Esq., for the removal of this preju
dice by proper tests and for encouragement to
try them when suffering from great and long
continued debility. The use of three bottles of
these Bitters at tne beginning of tho present
year, was followed by evident relief and;restor
ation to a degree of bodily and mental vigor
which I had not felt for six months before, and
had almost despaired of regaining. I therefore
thank God and my friend directing me to tho
use of them. J. NEWTON BROWN,
