you the fact, that Mr. Stoneman, who was In Centre

to WEST KING STREET, OPPOSITE COOPER'S HOTEL.
We all know how desirable it is to have good BOOTS
AND SHOES, which will be fully worth the amount Fia
paid for themmich articles can be had at BEENE

the water in, and with which yon can walk in wet grass
andloot get wet feet, they can only be had at 1111ENEMAN'S.
Those of our friends in the 'country who have been accus

so easy on the foot, can only get them at his NEW STAND.
Do not lot yourselves be deceived with the idea that-1111E1E

The Insulated Iron Frame preserves the original tone of
the instrument in all its .purity, securing it for all time
'against that most disagreeable tinny quality of tone in
variably found in all other Iron -Frame Plano-Fortes. It
greatly strengthens the case. and thus keeps the Piano- -
Forte much longer in tune. It gives the instrument a
much fuller, richer and sweeter tone. ' It adapts the Plano
to all climates and to all changes .of atmosphere, and in
all Inspects it is pronounced byour a artiste" the greatest

in delicacy of touch they certainly excel, and in that

From Ifon. Mule IL CLUSPBELL, M. 0., Ohio.
My family and friends all concur In the opinion that the
(Newell) Picture le more life-like than any thing they ever
saw. My likeness has been repeatedly taken by different
Artists in various ways, but I have never yet had one
which presents so true to nature, all the features and . ex.
pressions of countenance as this.

From Hon. E. JOT Movaig, late MinistOr to Italy
The 'exquisite finish, beauty and softness of your por
traits, conjoined with their durability of color and faith
fulness as likenesses, cannot fail to commend them to the
attention and patronage of all who appreciate tree art.
Having occasion for a portrait, I procured one from Mr.
Hobert Newell, of the City of Philadelphia, a miniature In
Oil Colors '
under the new process discotered by him, and
take great pleasure in expressing the satisfaction given
me, not only by the accuracy of the likeness, but its artis
tic litileh in all respects, and recommend him 'to the pa•

The IRON being absorbed by the blood, and
thus circulating through the whole system, no
part of the body can escape their truly wonder
ful influence. _
The experience of thousands daily proves that
no preparation of /Ten can for a moment be
compared with it. Impurities of the blood, de
pression of vital energy, pale and otherwise
sickly complexions indicate its necessity in al
most every •conceivable case. In all cases of
female debility (fluor albus, chlorosis, etc:), its
effects are delightfully renovating. No remedy
has ever been discovered, in the whole history
of medicine, which safest such prompt, happy,
and fullyrestorativEi effects. Good appetite, com

with an unusual disposition for active and
cheerful exercise, immediately follow its use.
As a grand stomachic and general restorative

mire GREATEST MEDICAL DISOOV.
ERE OP TEIE AGE:- - --Dr. KENNEDY, of Roxbury, has
discovered, in one of our common pasture weeds, o remedy
that cures
from the worst Scrofula dewn.r.o a common pimple.
He has tried it in over 1100 cases, and never tailed except
in two cases, (both thunder humor.) Ho has now in his
possession over two hundred certificates of its virtue, all
within twenty miles of Boston.
Tiro bottles are warranted to cure a nursing "soremouth
One : o three bottles will cure the worst kind of Pimples

Two to three bottles will clear the system of Bibs.
Two bottles are warranted to cure the worst canker In

of Erysipelas.
One or two bottles are warranted to cure all humor

Two bottles are warranted to cure running of the ears
and blotches among the hair.

Three to four bottles are warranted to cure the salt

Five to eight bottles will cure the worst case of scrofula'
*benefit is always experiencedfrom the first bottle, and
tuerfect cure Is warranted when the above quantity Ls
Reader, I peddled over a thousand bottles of this in the
vicinity of Boston. I know the effect of it in every ewe.—
So sure as water will extinguish fire, so sure will this cure
humor. I never sold a bottle of it, but that sold another;
after a trial it always speaks for Itself. There are two
things about this herb that appear surprising; first, that
it grows in our pastures, in some places quite plentiful,
and yet its value has never been, known until I discovered
it in 1848—second, that it should care all kinds of humor,
In order to give some ides.of the sudden rise, and great
popularity of the discovery, I will state that in April, 1851,
I peddled it and sold about six bottles per day—in April.
1854, I sold over one thousand bottles per day of lt.
Some of the wholesale Druggists who have been in the
business twenty and thirty years, say that nothing in the
annals of patent medicines was ever. like it. There is a
universal praise of It from all quarters.
In my own practice I always kept it strictly - for humors
—but since its introduction as a general family medicine,
great and wonderful virtues have been found In it that I
never suspected. -
Several cases of epileptic fits—a disease which wee always
considered incurable, have been cured - by a few bottles.-
0, what a mercy if it prove effectual in all cases of that
awful malady—there are but few who have seen more of it
than I have.
I know of several cases of Dropsy, all of them aged peo
ple, cured by it. For the various diseases of the Liver, Sick
Headache, Dyspepsia, Asthma, Fever and Ague, pain in
the side, Diseases of the Spine, and particularly in diseases
of the Kidneys, Fre., the discovery has done more good than
any medicine ever known.
No change of diet over necessary—eat the beet you get
and enough of it. •
