the opportunity, while in Baltimore, of attending a full
course of lectures in, and receiving a diploma from, the
Baltimore College of Dental Surgery.
Having graduated at a period in the history of the pro
fession when all its most approved principles conld be
thoroughly discussed and fully 'compared and studied, I
feel better qualified than ever before to treat all cases of
dental or surgical diseases, strictly upon scientific princi
ples.
As a tnetricnlent of the University of Maryland, I received
the benefit of the Bnrgical lectures of Prof. N. R. Smith, as
well as those of Prof. T. £. Bond, of the Dental College, and
having for years adopted Surgery as a favorite study, I de
sign taking its general principles into my practice, nod
will treat all the surgical diseases, of the month and face
especially, upon the principles laid down and practised so
successfully by that eminent and scientific surgeon.
Cleft palates, hare Ups,preternatural and morbid growths
la the mouth and about the free will receive especial and
careful attention.
Artificial Teeth mounted upon fonr different and ap
proved principles, viz: Gold plate, Bilver plate, hard rubber
process, and the much talked of Cbeoplastic process im
proved. Operations upon the natural teeth will be per
formed with a view to their preservation and beauty, and
according to the highest principles of hygiene and artistic
skill.
Specimens of plate work and plugging will be shown to
all who call.

and applied a salve said to be a never-failing remedy, hat
it had no effect .whatever in., checking , thtf spread of the

eaten away a greater part of my . nppec Dp, and had at
tacked the nose, when I went to Cincinnati, .where I" con
sulted Prof. R. S. Newton, of the'Ecleetic Medical College.
He pronounced the .disease .“a .cutaneous Cancer, super
induced by an Inordinate. use of mercury.” He applied
mild sine ointment, and gave me internal remedies. My
face healed up, but the fntignmmtfrin was not thoroughly
removed. In February, 1867, he pronounced me eared,
and I left far home. In April the disease again returned,
' and so violent was the pain that I could not rest at nlghti
Late in May I returned to Cincinnati, and again placed
myself under the charge of Dr. Newton, with whom I re
mained ontQ September, during which time he used every
known remedy, and partly succeeded in checking tbe dis
ease, bat whenlreturned home there were still three dis
charging uleersuponmyface.l continued using New
ton’s preparations, And also medicine that I -got from Dr.
Ely, but the Cancer continued growing until it had eat off
the Iqft tide of my nose, the greater portion of my left cheek,
and had attacked my left eye. I h*n given up all hope of
ever being cured, since Dr. Ely said be could only give
relief, bat that a care was impossible. In March, 1858, I
bought p bottle of “ Blood Searcher;” bat I mast confess
that I had no faith in It. I was very weak when I com
menced taking it; bat I found that I gained strength day
by day, and also that tbe ulors commenced drying np. I
continued, and when the third bottle was taken my face
was healed as if by a miracle. I used a fourth bottle, and
I have been healthier since than I have been for the last
seven years. Althongh my face is sadly disfigured, lam
still grateful to a benign Providence who has spared my
life, and which has been done through the instrumentality
of Linuszt’h Improved Blood Searcher.

vicinity of Boston. I know the effect of it In every ease.—
So sure as water will extinguish fire, so sure will this cure
humof. I never sold a bottle of it, but that sold another;
alter a trial it always speaks for Itselt There are two
things about this herb that appear surprising; first, that
it grows in our pastures, In some places quite plentiful,
and yet Its value has never been known until I discovered
it in 18-tfl second, that it should care all kinds of humor.
In order to give some idea of the sudden rise, and great
popularity of the discovery, I will state that in April,lB63,
I peddled it and sold about six bottles per day—ln April,

Some of the wholesale Druggists who have been in the
business twenty and thirty years, say that nothing in the
annals of patent medicines was ever like it There is a
universal praise of it from all quarters.
In my own practice I always kept it strictly for humors
—but since its introduction as a general family medicine,
great and wonderful virtues have been found in it that I
never suspected.
Several cases of epileptic fits—a disease which wai always
considered incurable, have been cured by a few bottles.
