AMERICAN WATCHES

MANUFACTURERS OF
PATENT LEVER WATCHES
These superior Watches are made by the aid of new and
original machinery, expressly designed to secure. with a

LIABLE timekeeper. The movements are new in construe,
tion, and are pronounced by the highest authorities to be
faultless in principle and quality. and have been proved by
the most exacting tests to be reliable and unfailing in ac
tion. These watches are timouhsetured entire front the
crude material, in a startle establishment. by connected
and uniform processes—the manufactory being organized
upon the Films system that has been adopted in the pro
Unction of the unequalled American firesrms, which ena
bles us to produce a movement at one hay - the price of any
foreign movement of the same quality, and we guarantee
the perfect performance, for ten years, of every watch man.
ulactured by us.
All foreign watches are made by hand, the American
watches being the only ones made by machinery up m
uniform system. throughout. Nearly all hand-made
watches are defective, and are continually getting ant of
order. In ullyy parts of the country it is iruptwsible to
find good watch repairers, and watch repairing is always
uncertain and expensive. The introduction of American
watches disposes of this difficulty, and ,eenntry merchants,
as well as snatch dealers, can keep watches as part of their
miscellaneous stock, and thus supply their customers with

"lIDEEVES> PATENT LEVER PEN."—
IL The subscribers would respectfully call the atter,
tion their frieude and the public generally. to thin new
Pen, which is constructed upon an entirely new principle.
It has been the aim of the inventor to continue the stiff
point of the pencil with the rlastivity of the goons quill.
and the ennexed certificates, by parties who have aced the
Pen, will show that be has succeeded.
Among the advantages attained by this over all other
Pens, are
Ist. The nibs being stiff they act as a support to the
band. enabling the writer to use it with the same rapidity
that he would a lead pencil.
gd. The manner in which the nibs are operated upon for
the purpose of producing light and shade, is of such a
nature that it is impossible Par the nibs to lap over each
other, or stick in the plper, thereby causing spattering
and blotting as the ordinary elastic nibbsd Pens are liable
to do.
We give tint a few of tild many certificates which we
hove in our hands, and respectfully invite the public to
call and eXallliDli for themselves.
I consider "Itzeres' PATENT LEVER PEN" the very best
I have ever used. I can, in a given time, write one-third
more with it than with any Pen I have ever used.
.1. ALBERT ALLEN,
Pousmiin nod Card Writer. Girard Iliiuse, Philadelphia.
We purchased one of the above Pens eight months ago,
and have been using it ever since. We esteem it a pleasure
to have the (mportunity of commending an article to the

Having used idie of "REEVES PATENT LEVER PENS" I am
free to say it is far superior to anything in the Pen line I

the finest hair-stroke can be made at the will of the Pens

Fit al A itY.-51v connection for the past eight years with
the above Institution, as Chief Physician, and a twelve
year re course of steady devothn to the Cure of Pulmona
ry Consumptloo and its kindred diseases, together with
my unrivaled opportunities and advantage of pathological
research—aided not a little by a eerie, system of Medico/
Inhalation—has enabled me to arrive at a decisive, direct,
and successful course of treatment for the positive and
radical cure of all diseases of the Throat, Lungs and Air-
Passages. By Inhalation, the vapor and curative properties
of medlci nes are directly addressed to the diseased organs and
the integument. Ido not advise the use of Medical Inhale
lation of any kind, to the exclusion of general treatment:
and although I consider it a useful adjuvant in the proper
management of those fearful and often fatal diseases, yet I
deem it very necessary that each patient should have the
benefit of both general and local treatment. The suave of my
treatment in the above diseases, and the high character of
the Institution over which I have an long had the honor
to preside, are too well known to need any eulogy or com
ment from me. At the solicitation of many private and
professional friends, through whose philanthropic aid the
above charity has been long and liberally supported, and
after idue consideration. I have concluded to make such
arrangements as will bring the benefits of my experience
and treatment within the mach of all, and not confine my
self, as heretofore, to three only who entered the Infirmary,
or who were able to visit me at my office. Eloping, there
fore, that the arrangement will give entire satisfaction,
both to my professional brethren and the public. I would

Reader, I peddled over a thousand bottles of this In the
vicinity of Boston. I know the effect of it in every case.—
So sure as water will extinguish fire,
so sure will this cure
humor. I never sold a bottle of it, but that sold another;
after a trial it always speaks for Itself. There are two
things about this herb that appear surprising; first, that
it grows In our pastures, in some places quite plentiful,
and yet Its value has never been known until I discovered
it in lB46—second, that It should cure all kinds of humor
In order to give some idea of the sodden rise, and great
popularity of the discovery, I will state that In April, 1h53,
I peddled It and sold about six bottles per day—in April,
1854,-I sold over nor thousand bottles per day of It.
Some of the wl...lesale Druggists who have been In the
business twenty and thirty years, say that nothing In the
annals of patent medicines was ever like It. There is a
universal praise of It from all quarter=.
In my own practice I always kept it strictly for humors
—but MI.. If, introduction as a general family medicine,
great and w , tiderful virtues have been found In It that I
never suspected.

Mr. Joseph E. levee:—A trial of yen r LIQUID HAIR
