6 EEVES , PATENT LEVER PEN."--
R The subscribers would respectfully call the atten
tion of their friends and the public generally. to this new
Pen, which is constructed upon an entirely new principle.
It has been the aim of the inventor to combine the stiff
point of the pencil with the elasticity of the goose quill,
and the annexed certifitattes. by parties who have used the
Pen, will show that he has succeeded.
Among the advantages attained by this over all other
Pens, are
let. The nibs being stiff they act as a support to the
hand, enabling the writer to use it with the same rapidity
that he would a lead pencil.
24. The manner in which the nibs are operated upon for
tho purpose of producing light and shade. is of such a
nature that it is impossible for the nibs to map erer each
other, or stick in the paper. thereby causing spattering
and blotting as the ordinary elastic nibbed Pens are liable
to do.
. .
We give but a few of the many certificates which we
have in our hands, and respectfully invite the public to
call and examine for themselves.
I consider `• RESVES' PATENT LEVER PEN" the very best
I have ever used. I can, in a given time, write one-third
more with it than with any Pen I have ever used.
J. ALBERT ALLEN,
Pensman and Card Writer, Girard House, Philadelphia.
We purchased one of the above Pens eight months ago,
and have been using it ever since. We esteem it a pleasure
to have the opportunity of commending an article to the
favor of the public, entitled to PO much merit as this Pen

I have for some time past been using doe of "REEVES'

any Metalic Pen I have ever used. It possesses more
elasticity, and will produce a stroke of almost any thick
ness, with greater regularity and without danger of strain

.a... JARRETT, 011 THE NEW TORII, LUNG IN
IGR3IARY.—My connection fir the past eight years with
the above Institution, as Chief Physician, and a twelve
yetis& course of steady devotion to the Cure of Pulmona
ry Consumption and Its kindred dilemma, together with
my unrivalettripportunities and advantage of patholmtical
research—aided net a little by a perfect system of .11,dical
Inhalation—has enabled me to arrive at a decisive, direct,
and successful course of treatment for the positive and
radical cure of all diseases of the Throat, Lungs and Air-
Rusaget. By Inhalation, the vapor and curative properties
of meffidees are directly sadreeeed to the diseased organs and
the Integument. Ido not advise the use of Medical Inhabi
tation of any kind, to the exclusion of general fru:amen!:
and although I consider It a meld adjuvant In the proper
managepteat of those fearful and oflen fatal diseases, yet I
deeni It very necessary that each patient should have the
benefit of both general and local treatment. The sums of my
treatment in the above diseases, and the high character of
the Institution over which I have as long had the honor
to preside, are too well known to need any eulogy or com
ment from me. At the solicitation of many private and
professional friends, through whose philanthropic aid the
above charity has been long and liberally supported, and
after Dine consideration, I have concluded to make such
arrangements u will bring the benefits of my experience
and treatment within the reach of all, and not confine my
self, as heretofore, to Glue only who entered the Infirmary,
or who were able to visit me at my office. Hoping, there
fore, that the arrangement will give entire satisfaction,
both to my professional brethren and the public. I would
respectfully announce in conclusion, that J oan now be am
