The greatest medical discov
ery OF THE AGE.— Dr. Kennedy, of Itoxbury, has
discovered, in one of our common pasture weeds, a remedy
that cures
EV E R Y K IXI) OF 11 UM 0 R ,

lie bus tried it in over 11()U cases, aud never failed except
in two coses, (both thunder humor.) He has now in bis
possession over two hundred certificates of its virtue, all
within twenty miles of BostoD.
Two bottles are warranted to cure a nursing sore mouth.
One to three bottles will cure the worst kind of Pimples
on the face.
Two to three bottles will dear the system of Biles.
Two bottles are warranted to cure the worst canker in
the mouth or stomach.
Three to five bottles are warranted to cure the worst case
of Erysipolas. ~ ,
One or two bottles are warranted to cure all humor m

Two bottles are warranted to cure running of the ears
aud blotches among the hair.
Four to six bottles are warranted to cure corrupt and
running ulcers.
Oue bottle will cure scaly eruption of the skin.
Two to three bottles are warranted to cure the worst

Two to three bottles are warranted to cure the most des

Three to four bottles are warranted to cure the salt
Five to eight bottles will cure the worst case of scrofula.
A benefit is always experienced from the first bottle, and
a perfect cure is warranted when the above quantity is
Reader, I peddled over a thousand bottles of this in the
vicinity of Boston. I know the eifect of it in every case.—
So sure as water will extinguish fire, so sure will this cure
humor. I never sold a bottle of it, but that sold another;
after a trial it always speaks for itself.. There are two
thingß about this herb that appear surprising; first, that
it grows in our pastures, in some places quite plentiful,
aud yet its value has never been known until I discovered
it iu IS4G—second, that it should cure all kinds of humor.
* la order to give some idea of the sudden rise, and great
popularity of the discovery, I will state that in April, 1853,
I peddled it and sold about six bottles per diy—in April,
1854, I sold over one thousand bottles per day of It..
Some of the wholesale Druggists who have been in the
business twenty and thirty years, say that nothing in the
annals of patent medicines was ever like It. There is a
universal praise uf it. from all quarters.
In my own practice I alwry9 kept it strictly for humors
—but since its introduction as a general tamily medicine,
great and wonderful virtues have beeu found in it that I
never suspected.
Several cases of epileptic fits—a disease which was always
considered incurable, have been cured by a few bottles.—
0, what a mercy if it prove effectual in all cases of that aw
ful malady—there are but few who have seen more of it
than I have. - ~ ...
I know of several cases of Dropsy, all of them aged peo
ple, cured by it. For the various diseases of the Lfejer, Sick
Headache. Dyspepsia, Asthma, Fever and Ague, pain in
the side. Diseases of the Spine, and particularly In diseases
of the Kidneys, Ac.. the discovery has done more good than
anv medicin® ever known.

tic Counterfeits, Erasures, Transfers or Alterations.
Having purchased the Patent for the exclusive right to
manufacture and sell the new Chemical Paper in America,
invented and patented in England by Henry Glynn, a cel
brated chemist and < fficer in the British army, it is hardly
necessary to say that the Paper U recommended by Mr.
Kent, Asaayer of the U. S. Mint, Mr. Lyman, of the New
York Clearing House, and Meade Brothers, extensive and
skilful photographers, 233 Broadway, N. Y. The latter say
that no imitation can be made on a check or bank uote
printed on the Safety Paper. Below is our list of prices :
Bauk Checks—3s cts. per lb.
Bank Bills—slB for 1000 sheets.
Bills of Exchange—s2s for 1000 sheets.
Promissory Notes —1C cts. per lb.
Sight and Time‘Drafl6—s2s for 1000 sheets.
Insurance Policies—lo cts. per lb.
Railroad Stocks and Bonds——lo cents per lb.
Bank and State Stocks—4o cts. per lb.
Bonds and Mortgages—lo cts. per lb.
Wills and Deeds —40 cts. per lb.
For wrapping Silks and other fine articles it is excellent,
as it prevents moths. 40 cents per lb.
For Indentures and Agreements—4o cents per lb.
All State and County Records should always he printed
or written on this Paper, as the chemicals inserted j-in the
pulp not only prevent erasure or transfer, but make it
lasting as time. .
For Southern Climates it is excellent, and much supe
rior to any other; as the moistness of the climate does not
destroy it, —the properties inserted iu the pulp being a
preventative. In ail the southern states, Cuba, the West
Indies and the Central American States, no public records
can be kept over *io years, written on the ordinary paper,
while the oils and other chemicals inserted in this Paper
makes it indestructable by the ravages of time. It i 6 al-o
proof against moths, rats and other Terrain, which feast on
and destroy all other paper now in use.
The Company have now in operation Mills in Morns
County, N. J., of about 300 horse power, and are able to fill
all orders for Paper at the shortest notice.
All orders for the Paper must be addressed to A. NICHO
LAS, President of the Company, No. 70 Wall Street.

INVALIDS, READ AND JDDGE FOR YODRMLVM
JULES HAUEL, Esq., tbe well known perftuctr, of
Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, whose choice products
are found at almost every toilet, says: ‘
“ I am happy to say of your Cathartic Pilu, tint 1
have found them a better family medicine, for common
use, than any other within my knowledge. Many of my
friends have realized marked benefit* from them, and co»
tneide with me in believing that they paasen extraordinary
virtues for driving out diseases and curing the sick.. They
are not only effectual, but safe and pleasant to be taken—
qualities which must make them valued by the puhlic
when they are known.”
The venerable Chancellor WARDLAW writes from Bal
timore, 15th April, 1854:
“ Da. J. C. Aria —Sir: I have taken vour Pttla with
great benefit, for the listleasness, languor, lose of appetite,
and Bilious headache, which has of late yean overtaken
me in tbe spring. A few doses of your Pill* cured me. I
have used your Cherry Pectoral many yean In my fkfflUy

JOHN F. BEATTY, Esq., Sec. of the Penn. Railroad Co.,
says
“ Pa. JL R. Office, PhUadelpkuL, Du. 13,1853.
u Str: I take pleasure in adding my testimony to tbs
efficacy of your medicines, having derived very material
benefit from the use of both your Pectoral and Cathartic
Pills. . I am never without them in my family, nor ehall I
ever consent to be, while my means will procure them.**
The widely renowned S. 8. STEVENS, M. D., of Went
worth? N. H., writes:
“ Having used your Cathastic Pills in my prattles, 1
certify from experience that they are an invaluable purga
tive. In cases of disordered functions of the liver, causing
headache, indigestion, costiveness, and the great variety
of diseases that follow, they are a surer remedy than any
other. In all cases where a purgative remedy Is remilrea,
I confidently recommend these Pills to the publle, as
superior to any other I have ever found. They are sore
in their operation, and perfectly safe— qualities which
make them an invaluable article for public use. I have
for many years known your Cherry Pectoral as the best
Cough medicine in the world ; and these Pills are In no
wise inferior*to that admirable preparation tor the treat
ment of diseases.”
“ Acton, Me., Jfav. 53,1663.
‘ Diu J. C. Ateh Dear Sir: I have been afflieted frtm
my birth with scrofula in its wont form, and now, altar
twenty years’ trial, and an untold of amount of raftering,
have been completely cured in a few week* by your Pill*.
With what feelings of rejoicing I write can only be
imagined when you realize what I have suffered, and how'
long.
“ Never until now have I been free from this loathsome
disease in some 6hape. At times it attacked my eyes, and
made me almost blind, besides the unendurable pain ; at
others it settled in the scalp of my head, and destroyed my
hair, and has kept me partly bald all my days; sometime*
it came out in my face, ana kept it for months a raw sore
“About nine weeks ago I commenced taking your Ca
thartic Pills, and now am entirely free from the complaint
My eyes are well, my skin is fair, and my hair has com
menced a healthy growth; all of which makes me feel
already a new person.
“ Hoping this statement may be the means of conveying
Information that shall do good to other*, I am, with every
sentiment of gtntitnde, EICKEIL ..
“ I have known the above named Maria Ricker from
her childhood, and her statement la strictly true.
’ ANDREW J. MESERVE,
Overseer of the Portsmouth Manufacturing Co.”
Carr. JOEL PRATT, of the ahip Marion, write* from
Boston, 90th April, 1854: ' .
<( Tour Pills have cured me from a bilious attack which
arose from derangement of the Liverj which had become
very serious. I bad failed of any relief by my Physician,
and from every remedy I could try; but a few doses of
your Pills have completely restored me to health. I have
given them to fty children for worms, with the best ef
fect*. They were promptly cured. I recommended them
to a friend for costivenes*. which had troubled him for
month*: he told me in a few days they bad cured him.
You make the best medicine in the world ; and lam free
to say so.”
Read this from the distinguished Solicitor of the Supreme
Court, whose brilliant abilities have made him well
known, not only In this but the neighboring States.
“ JWw O*lto3u, stf Jtprily 1854.
(( Bir: I have great satisfaction in assuring you that
myself and family have been very much benefited by your
medicines. My wife was cured, two years since, of a so
vere and dangerous cough, by your Chsirt PscToaAt.,
and since then has enjoyed perfect health. My children
have several times been cured from attacks of the Influ
enza and Croup bv it. It Is an invaluable remedy for
these complaints. Four Cathaitic Pills have entirely
cured me from a dyspepsia and costivenea, which has
grown upon me for some years.— Indeed, this cure w
much more important, from the fact that I had failed to
get relief from the best Physicians which this section of
the country affords, and from any of the numerous reme
dies I had taken.
« Ton seem to us, Doctor, like a providential blessing
to our family, and you may well suppose we are not un
mindful of it. Yours respectfully, ..
LEAVITT THAXTEB.”
“ Senafs Chamber. Ohio. dprU SM, 1854.
“ Dr. J. C. Aram Honored Bir: I nave made a thor
ough trial of the Cathartic Pills, left me by your agent,
and have been cured by them of the dreadful Rheumatism
under which he found me Buffering. The first dose re
lieved me, and a few subsequent doses have entirely
removed the disease. I feel in better health now than for
some yean before, which I attribute entirely to the effects
of your Cathabtjc Pill*. Yours with great respect,
LUCIUS 11. METCALF.”
