three shingte, by placing them in the furnace under

ered was entirly consumed, while the painted part
was apparently sound, though upon examination
the wood was found to be charred; the Paint how
ever was firm and nut little blistered. 1 consider
this as severe a test as your Paint can be put to,
and tinder the circumstances 1 do not hesitate to
commonti it as an invaluable p(eVentlYe _against
