Texas, returned te the village te see hi
old father, and wan told by bin brother
that be had irone te n neighbor's house.
Notwithstanding this statement suspicions
were aroused hiiieuk the neighbors, who
are Americans, that the man bad been
foully dealt with and it search was insti
tuted. The house deg was unchained te
assist in this work, although tbe brother
objected. The deg at once ran te a manure
heap en tbe farm. The searchera followed
and upon digging into the pile found the
body of the old man. Ills skull was
crushed and tbere was ether evidences of
murder en bis body.
Jehn's brother then confessed that he
murdered hia father with a hatchet In the
presence of his intended bride. He ex-

lis father had onion all the meat cooked for
dinner. The murdorer and his bride
buried the body where it was found. After
the crliile the deg w as kept chained by the
guilty brether. The murdorer and his ac
complice were arrested.
