AVllllam Judith, a well-known resident
or the Kighth wuid, died en Friday alter a
lingering illness, aged C9 ycarN. Deceased
was a native of Germany, bul has been n
resident of IjincaMer for many years. He
was a stone cutter by trade and worked nt
that business until 1809, when he went
into the brick business. He uonducted
that business nlone for a year, and for
several years afterwards was usseclatcd
with Peter Zlegler lit that btiKiuess. He
retired a Tew years age, slnce which tint;
he has llved retired.
Mr. Judith was an industrious, thrifty
man of the strictest integrity and his less
will be greatly felt. He was n charter mem
ber of St. Jeseph's and St. Fetor's Catholic
societies and retained his membcrbhlp te
the present time. Ills funeral will take
place en Monday morning.
Deceased leaves tn survive him his wife,'
three sons aud two daughters. His tens
are Frederick, a member of the school
beard, Geerge and William and his daugh
ters Mrs. Albert Kuhlhaus und Mrs. Jehn
Kirchner.
