Take a Spurt.
Seme days age Henry Weill, the well
known horse dealer, purchased a pair of
driving horses which be Intended ler his
own use. He thought It best te try the
nnlmsls before be took his family out and
for that purpose ba bad them bitched up
en Saturday evening. Sam. Gran, a young
man employed In the atablo.started te drive
them and he was Joined en Mulberry street
by Mr. Weill, who steed en the rear axle.
Just above Chestnut street one of the horses
began kicking and loeaened one of the
traces. The ether seen Joined hltn and the
imlr began a lively kicking, which they
tept up until all of the traces were
loose, lietb animals then began running
and Mr. Weill Jumped from the wagon.
In a few moments the horses were going
at a furious rate. Tbey ran up Mulberry
te James street and out James te the lan
raster cemetery, where they were stepped.
Yeung Qrau held en te the reins, which
with the yoke was all that kept the horses
te the wagon. Hundreds or people who
mw the lierses running were euro that
Grail would be killed, but he held te the
horses and came out all right. The wagon
was net damaged In the least.
