have it dismissed upon the payment of

Anethor well known citizen of Lancaster
has passed an ay. I'd ward Clark died en
Thursday evening at the home of bis son-in-law,
L. U. Herr, at Ne. 128 North Ltme
street. His health bad been falling for
sometime past. He contracted a sevore
cold In the fall uild tills led te heart uud
lung troule, which caused his death.
Mr. Clark naa born in Chester comity en
November 15, '1813. When young he
learned the milling trade uud during bis
Ufa time he Invented a number of Improve
ments en mill machinery. He placed the
first machlne for making Heur In the Pills
bury mills lu Minneapolis. He also had a
mill of his own at Hellldnysburg for a
number of years.
Fifty years age last March he was mur mur
rled. Last year he uud his wlfb celebrated
their golden weddlng, Mr, Clark resided
In Lancaster for about forty years nnd
leaves a large acquaintance and many
friends. He was a brether of the late
James Clark, who llved en the Philadel
phia turnpikejust east of this city.
