A lethargic, dormant condition of the llver
I hardly te be overcome with draatle ca

pleasanter and far mere effective meant ex

This Is Hestctter's Stomach Bitters, vouched
for by the medical fraternity, tested by the
public for many yours. A resumption by the
, biliary organ of its secretive function, with the
activity attendant upon health, a return te
regularity of the bowel, and a renewal of dlges dlges

of mine the Bitters systematically. Its laxa

tendency being rather te perpetuate regularity
than te produce a copious action. Malaria,
nervousness, debility, kidney troubles nnd
neuralgia It subdues effectually. 15-23

Mrs. Oeo. P. Bmoete, a highly cultivated and

1887 my eyes became Inflamed, and my Sto

Nothing I ate agreed with me.ri took chronic
diarrheea, and for soma time my lira was de
spaired of by my, family. The leading physi

medicines administered by them never did any
permanent geed, and I lingered between life
and death, the later being preferable te the
agonies 1 was enduring. In May, 1888, I be
came disgusted with physicians and their
medicines. I dropped them all, and depended
seely en Swift's Specific (8. 8. a), a few bottles
of which made me permanently well well
from then until new."
MADE HIS LIFE A BURDEN.
, I have had scrofula until It made my life a
burden. I was inexpressibly miserable, sick,
weak, sleepless, nnd unhappy; desiring that
the short time which seemed te have been
allotted te me en this earth wenld hasten te an
end. 1 tried doctors' treatment and medicine,
and travel, but none of these did any geed, for
the scrofula gradually grew worse. Oeephysll
clan, who I traveled far te see. and te whom I
paid $160, gave up the rase as boneless. I then
gave up all ether medicines, and took only
Swift's Bpeclfle (8. 8. 8.) Four bottles of that

I have had as excellent health and I am as free
