ceived a telephone inewage from Lltitz
asking him te be en tbe lookout for a man
named Herman Landls Bellinger, of that
place, who was wanted for larceny.
Uelllngerhad been up In the neighborhood
of Clay and be entered the heuse of a man
named Miller, son-in-law of Hiram IJrb.
He stele a lady's geld watch, a pair of brace
lets, cuff buttons, a breastpin tuul Heme
ether Jewelry, and then left the neighbor
hood. He was supposed te have ceme te
Lancaster, and for that reason word wau
sent here. The chief Instructed Speelid
Officer Gill te leek after the man, uud it
was net long until he found him In the
neighborhood of North Queen and Orange
streets. He was Identified by a man irum
Litltc no weut along te the Billion liouse
very willingly and told the olllcer he eulil
go wlih him anywhere. When searched
at the station lionse all the stelen property
was found upon him. The braoelots were
still in the JWoler's box and the watch
liollluger carried lu his vest pocket with

Bellinger Is a big. ever grown fellow,

A Little Child Killed In Its Methci-'s
Arms by the Cars.
This morning a terrlblu niilread accident
In wbieh a little child was kilted and its
molher badly If net fatally Injured, oc
curred near Klnzer'a station, en thoil'eun theil'eun

It was shortly licfore elht o'clock w hen
the accident happened, and the tilace w us at

named station. Ann Mcllvalncy was
walking along the read currying her little

She started te walk across the railroad
track In front of extra onslue Ne, 405,
which was drawing a train of freishtears
westbound. She was unsuccessful, how
ever, aud Just as she readied the track the
englne struck heraud the child. The child

and was hurt Internally. The woman uud

for. When he arrived he made nn exami
nation of the woman's injuries, uud he
thinks that they are very serious and may
