club of this city, held a highly successful
package party in Kshleman's hall en Sat
turday eveuing. The crowd was large, as
ever 1,200 tickets had beau sold. There
were three prizes 'for holders of tickets.

Sergeant Harry Fronts sold tlie largest

they had stolen und their beasts cauie te
the ears of Censtable Sliaub. He investi
gated the matter and found they had a let
that firm's goods. He procured n hcarch
warrant from Alderman llalbacli and
searched their beuse. Ills search uas re
warded by finding a bundle of stair reds,
in the original package, n let of nutmeg
graters and saddlery hardware. These
goods wero taken te tlie alderman's otllce
und will be usd in evidence against thorn.
When arrested they admitted their guilt.
In default of ball they wero locked up furu
hearing.
Since the above was written a large iiuan
tlty of additional goods, such as tin boilers,
sacks, Ac, were found, nnd they were
taken te Halbach's. Kome of these belong

Yesterday evening, Dec. 1st, tlie Sunday
school of St. Luke's llefermed church cel
ebrated Us fifteenth nnnlversary. Itev. A.
C. Whltmer, superintendent et missions,
and Itev. J. 1 Stein, efMUlcrsvllle, deliv
ered appropriate addresses. Tlie Sunday
school was organized .Nev. 15, 1S7I, in tlie
