Daniel lluber died last night nt 7 o'clock
at the home of bis son, Aaren C. Iluber,
aged 78 years. He fell from a wngen In a
harvest field lact July and has net been
well since. He formerly lived In Dlllnr
vllle and came te his son's home after he
was hurt. The remains will be taken te
JLandlsville for burial.
An infant son of Martin Friend died this
morning at 7 o'clock. The funeral will be
held en Monday nrtcrnoen at 1 o'clock.

cued. But the kitten nover came te
the surface, a fact that cnused no llttle
wonder nnd puzzled comment. LastSatur

golden shiner, in sixty feet of water.
Responding te a tromendous strike, he
succeeded in lauding, nfler a lengund lively
suruggle, a seven eund glass cyeil
pike. As a fish of this kind,
abundant as they are in the lake,
is Ukcu scarcely once in a year, the
catch caused no llttle excitement among
the fishermen around the Itluir. ISnt the
wonder of the catch became still gicater

The word "Flessio" was en tlie locket.
The story of the mysterious less of the
kitten at Greve Spring vns well known
along the lake, nnd this discovery of the
locket in the plke's stomach nt ence solved
that mystery. The locket has been for
