liquor and entered a plea of guilty before

from adding a Jail sentence. The Ropub Repub
, Mean politicians came te Schwlnge's aid
and President Harrison was petitioned te
remit the fine. On Saturday Hchwlnge was
notified that $300 of the amount had been
remitted. The temperance people are very
much disgusted ever the announcement, aa
Hchwlnge was doubly guilty and really de
served greater punishment than the court
