poison, and in coun-e of half an hour a
large blister amis raised v hlch, en being
opened, discharged a t cry green matter.
He was in town again Thursday evening,
and was getting along quite well, although

arm v as somewhat swollen yet.

It was no fault of Dr. Geerge 1. Wcl
chans, the Pennsylvania lailread compa
ny's iihj'slclan in this city, that the young
man who tas hurt en the railroad Thurs
day night did net receive prompt atten
tion. Werd was flist telegraphed here for
turainbulauce te meet the man at the sta
tion, and nothing was said about n physi
cian. When the man arrit ed he was taken
directly te ihe hospital Instead of the bjg bjg
gage room in the station, ami Dr. WeUhans
was net notified for an hour afterwards,
w hen he received a telegram from Phila
delphia instructing hlui te attend the man.
Shortly after ene o'clock he t lilted the
hospital, ns directed, aud looked after the
sufferer. Dr. Wclchans is always prompt
in bib duties for the company and thisaflalr
was bungled up by ethers.
