house, Carlisle, after a week's illness, of
Internal hemorrhage.

Episcopal church) Carlisle, at neon, and In

walt, and wns born at New Helland, this
county, July 31, IMtf. He went te Cum
berland county with his lather's family
about the year 1B27, and they settled en a
farm, which aftcrwnrds was tlie Judge
Watts farm, about two miles west of
Carlisle, The family was an tinusunlly
large one fourteen sons and four daugh
tersand there they resided until most of
them left home. There arc yet living thcre
David and Levi IUngwalt, Margaret lllng
walt, and near Churchtew n Gcerge lllng
walt, brothers and sisters of the decease!.
The subject of this notlce went te Cincin
nati In lttlJ, and remained thcre until 1876.
He wns thcre engaged in the cnrjiel busi
ness, mid succeeded in building up a very
large business. In 1676 he decided te ro re ro
ine e te Washington, V. C, and has thcre
resided since. Fer several years-past he
has made annual visits loCarllsle tocehls
relntlves and friends, and he was en atich
a visit w lien taken ill a w cck age. He was
a prominent churchman, and was ocnler
warden of St. Paul's Episcopal church,
Cincinnati, of which he hud been a vestry
man for many years. Funeral services
