with Harry Beckler In the coal and lumber
business. After the dissolution of this firm
Mr. Hacker engaged In the wholesale lum
ber trade and built up an extensive trade
through Eastern Pennsylvania.
Last year he formed a partnership with
his son-in-law, Haydn Mlkacb, et Lltltr.,
and carried en a retail business in addition
te his wholesale trade.
He came te thla city every Monday and
had many business acquaintances here.
He waa a Republican In politics and waa
generally selected as ths Judge at tbe
primary elections of that party, He waa
active in tbe proceedings incident te the
organization of JjIUIk borough.
He was a insmber of tbe Moravian
church ter many jeata and active in Hun.
day school work. He leaves a wife and
two daughtera te mourn hie lesa. The

nomination, died of heart disease at hla
residence In Reading en Thursday. Ha
was born in Upper Hanover township,

Pennsylvania conference. He served con
